MPRE Score Services
Use MPRE Score Services To:
Send My Score to a Jurisdiction
MPRE Score Report
NCBE reports MPRE scores to the jurisdiction designated by the candidate when registering for the test. Candidates who have recently registered for or taken the MPRE can see what jurisdiction they selected by viewing the Summary of Request for Test Authorization in their NCBE Account File Cabinet. To have your score reported to additional jurisdictions or if you did not designate a jurisdiction when you registered, request an MPRE Score Report. Before requesting a score report, verify that the jurisdiction to which you are applying requires the MPRE and if so, the maximum age of an acceptable score.
To request an MPRE Score Report, log in to your NCBE Account or create an NCBE Account if you do not have one and go to the Score Services section to complete and submit an MPRE Score Services Request.
In making the request, you will have the option to select your most recent score, your highest score, or a score from a specific MPRE administration, and you will be asked to identify the jurisdiction(s) to which you want that MPRE score reported. If you are unsure which score to select, request an MPRE Unofficial Score Transcript to learn all your scores.
MPRE Score Reports are sent directly to jurisdictions. MPRE Score Reports are not sent to candidates.
Fee
A $30 fee is required for each MPRE Score Report.
Time Frame
Ordinarily, requests for MPRE Score Reports are processed the next business day after receipt of payment. MPRE Score Report requests are not processed until after MPRE scores have been released to candidates in their NCBE Accounts.
Learn My Score(s)
MPRE Unofficial Score Transcript
To learn your score(s) on the MPRE, request an MPRE Unofficial Score Transcript. The transcript will include all the MPRE scores you earned from 1999 to the present. All scores on the MPRE Unofficial Score Transcript are duplicative of score information provided to candidates following the examination; transcripts do not contain any additional information. If you've taken the most recent MPRE, your score remains available in your NCBE Account File Cabinet until the next MPRE.
The MPRE Unofficial Score Transcript is solely for the candidate's information and cannot be used to report MPRE scores to a jurisdiction.
To request an MPRE Unofficial Score Transcript, log in to your NCBE Account or create an NCBE Account if you do not have one and go to the Score Services section to complete and submit an MPRE Score Services Request.
MPRE Unofficial Score Transcripts are posted to the candidate's NCBE Account File Cabinet.
Fee
A $30 fee is required for an MPRE Unofficial Score Transcript.
Time Frame
Ordinarily, requests for MPRE Unofficial Score Transcripts are processed the next business day after receipt of payment. MPRE Unofficial Score Transcripts are stored in the NCBE Account File Cabinet for a maximum of 90 days. Candidates are encouraged to download and save the transcript within that time frame to avoid having to purchase another transcript.
Have My Score Rechecked
MPRE Score Verification
To have your MPRE score rechecked, request an MPRE Score Verification. Score verification requests must be submitted within two months of the original test date.
Score accuracy is confirmed multiple times before your score is reported as part of NCBE’s standard quality control process. MPRE score verification is an individualized review of this process.
To request an MPRE Score Verification, log in to your NCBE Account and go to the File Cabinet section to complete and submit an MPRE Score Verification request.
Score verification results are posted to the candidate's NCBE Account File Cabinet.
Fee
A $50 fee is required for an MPRE Score Verification.
Time Frame
MPRE Score Verifications may take six to eight weeks to process.
General Instructions
You cannot submit a request for MPRE score services until after the date of the examination in which the score will be earned. MPRE score services must be requested electronically through the candidate's NCBE Account.
Maximum Age of MPRE Scores
Each jurisdiction sets its own maximum age policy; however, NCBE performs score services only for MPRE scores earned in 1999 or later. If your score was earned before 1999, check with the jurisdiction to which you are seeking admission for instructions about how to proceed.
Score Services Fees
The fee ($30 per MPRE Score Report, $30 per MPRE Unofficial Score Transcript, $50 per MPRE Score Verification) may be paid online by credit card (MasterCard or Visa only).
Payment by check must be mailed to NCBE with a printout of the confirmation page at the end of the MPRE Score Services Request Form and may significantly delay the processing of your request. No score services will be performed until credit card information is processed or until a check is received with a printout of the confirmation page.
Refunds will not be provided for any reason. It is your responsibility to read these instructions carefully before requesting score services and to verify that you have provided the correct information in your request.
